Labor Day Style

Can y’all believe that the end of summer is offically here?  Bananas.  Flew by.  To celebrate the amazing season that was, my Labor Day Style involves wearing a flirty and fun weekend outfit in The Hamptons to finish it off.  I’m spending the weekend in the village of Watermill with some good friends and will be going to all the overcrowded, local spots – The Surf Lodge, Moby Dick’s, and The Hampton Classic.  It’s bound to be a weekend packed full of friends, outfits, cocktails, and sunshine.

On the outfit front…I love pairing a great pattern with a solid top for a classic two-piece look, especially on a holiday weekend.  Going a bit more festive is fun, especially with great accessories to match.  My patterned, black and white skirt here is Atelier by Nicole Miller and top is Reformation.

I always travel with my pink Balenciaga Giant Weekender.  I’ve had it for years and it’s my favorite travel bag.  If you ever catch me at JFK, chances are very high this bag will be rolling along with my carry-on suitcase.  I’m also rocking my favorite Panama Hat – to save it from getting crushed I have to wear it or carry it by hand when I travel.  I’ve smushed a couple of them before.  Lesson learned!

On to the jewelry…a lot of classics, paired with tons of stackable rings.  I love wearing my David Yurman chain in different ways.  Today it’s wrapped around my wrist to create a funky bracelet.

And I’m off to The Hamptons!

Have a fabulous Labor Day, y’all!  What kind of outfit will you be rocking?  Leave me a note in the comments below!  XOXO

  1. Hi! I love your yurman wrap chain but I also love your gold bangle. my mom gave me one for my 27th birthday that was a family heirloom, but unfortunatley it was stolen shortly after she gifted it to me. I have been looking for so long to find a similar one- yours looks so close! where did you purchase it? I would like to by two, one for my mom and one for myself! 🙂 I would GREATLY appreciate it Lo!

Why I Fast on Mondays

Monday: oh, the duality of it. I love Monday and I also hate it with a deep passion. I hate that it will take a full 5 days for the weekend/nachos to arrive. I hate that I have to answer my emails. I hate that my alarm goes off and wakes me from my Sunday slumber. Yet, once I’m conscious I remember that I love waking up early on a summer Monday, hitting the streets before 8am when the city is still sleepy and heading out for a slow sweat at SLT. I love hitting the re-set button and having another chance to do and be. I also love fasting on Mondays, my chosen day of the week to detox until dinnertime (if you’re forced to begin your week, you may as well dive in head first).
