This look may be from outerspace, but it’s perfect for a fall night out in the basement of Acme in New York City! This intergalactic style features the cropped turtleneck –  definitely IN this coming season.  I’ve decided to make a super fashion statement by donning this Nicole Miller Atelier one with my black leather pencil skirt from Zara.  Nicole Miller also made an adorable dress with the same wild print! Paired with my black backpack and some Zara kicks, this look is space-odyssey ready!

I kept my jewelry pretty simple since the look itself is so eye-catching.  Don some gold, stackable rings in various styles and your fingers will thank you!

My backpack is back (and my bum, ha).  I can’t get enough of this cheap buy from Urban Outfitters.

braid

I finished off this look with a super high, super 80s, braided ponytail.  Slick back your hair on top of your head and get braiding!  Leave your comments on this look, seek out similar items in the line-up I’ve put together below, and check out some of the other fall pieces I’m Currently Coveting right here.

Why I Fast on Mondays

Monday: oh, the duality of it. I love Monday and I also hate it with a deep passion. I hate that it will take a full 5 days for the weekend/nachos to arrive. I hate that I have to answer my emails. I hate that my alarm goes off and wakes me from my Sunday slumber. Yet, once I’m conscious I remember that I love waking up early on a summer Monday, hitting the streets before 8am when the city is still sleepy and heading out for a slow sweat at SLT. I love hitting the re-set button and having another chance to do and be. I also love fasting on Mondays, my chosen day of the week to detox until dinnertime (if you’re forced to begin your week, you may as well dive in head first).
