Ummm, this is so major!  Thank you so much to StyleCaster for featuring me on this year’s list of the 50 Most Stylish New Yorkers.  After living in New York for almost 3 years my style has changed tremendously and it’s great fun to be able to share that journey and evolution with you.  I dress for myself, I dress comfortably, and I dress to reflect my mood and what I hope to accomplish that day.

Also on the list of 50 Most Stylish New Yorkers: my spirit animal, Eva Chen, the Mayor’s daughter, Chiara de Blasio, and the photographer of the piece himself, Adam Katz-Sinding.  He’s been featured in Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, and W and it was wonderful to shoot with him.  Go behind the scenes of the shoot here.

If you’re eager to get the look I’m wearing in the feature, check out the pieces I’ve pulled below.  I’m obsessing over Zimmermann these days and I love my Chelsea Boots!

  1. Sometimes when we try to fit into a style category (classic, glam, feminine, edgy, boho, etc…) we end up missing out on other sides of our personal style…I love your refreshing way to describe your style: “I dress for myself, I dress comfortably, and I dress to reflect my mood and what I hope to accomplish that day.” Such a great perspective on personal style. Congrats on the feature, Lo–very well deserved! xx

Why I Fast on Mondays

Monday: oh, the duality of it. I love Monday and I also hate it with a deep passion. I hate that it will take a full 5 days for the weekend/nachos to arrive. I hate that I have to answer my emails. I hate that my alarm goes off and wakes me from my Sunday slumber. Yet, once I’m conscious I remember that I love waking up early on a summer Monday, hitting the streets before 8am when the city is still sleepy and heading out for a slow sweat at SLT. I love hitting the re-set button and having another chance to do and be. I also love fasting on Mondays, my chosen day of the week to detox until dinnertime (if you’re forced to begin your week, you may as well dive in head first).
