Aerial Inspired Fashion

Happy Columbus Day!  Do you have the day off? Me neither.  SHaaahooot.  Oh well, ya Monday!

October is all about coats for me – buying ones that are both perfect for fall and much cozier for winter.  If you get into your coat purchasing game too late into the season you’ll really be left with nothing but weird sizes, terrible patterns (coral gingham, hello), and general ugliness.  The sales girls will look at you with pity because they know you simply got invested after the fact.

Long story short, we’re here to save the day by previewing some of our favorite coats we’ve found for the chillier weather over the next two weeks.  We have 5 great ones to show off, and considering the severe dip in temperature I’ve already moved into longer coats that cover my tush.

Today, we have this incredible Dawn Levy KitKat leather jacket that is chic, sexy, and totally reminds me of something a modern-day Amelia Earhart would wear to Paris Fashion Week.  Combined with a vintage pair of sunnies, black leggings, black loafers and a crisp white button down, this look is totally aerial inspired fashion.

  1. LOVE your hair – would you do a tutorial on styling your new shorter look – I just chopped mine off and it’s sitting a little more Uma Thurman Pulp Fiction rather than cute chic bedhead Bob. HELP!

Why I Fast on Mondays

Monday: oh, the duality of it. I love Monday and I also hate it with a deep passion. I hate that it will take a full 5 days for the weekend/nachos to arrive. I hate that I have to answer my emails. I hate that my alarm goes off and wakes me from my Sunday slumber. Yet, once I’m conscious I remember that I love waking up early on a summer Monday, hitting the streets before 8am when the city is still sleepy and heading out for a slow sweat at SLT. I love hitting the re-set button and having another chance to do and be. I also love fasting on Mondays, my chosen day of the week to detox until dinnertime (if you’re forced to begin your week, you may as well dive in head first).
