The beauty world is limitless: lotions, and potions, and creams, and colors, and…well, you get the point. To infinity and beyond seems to be the common theme these days. But what about the classics? The products that underneath it all have the real staying power?
The mighty ones are the ones I hold closest to my product-lovin’ heart. And there is one in particular, essentially my best kept secret, that I come back to time and time again to enhance my beauty regimen in a variety of ways. The makers of this lovely product have sponsored this post, FYI, but as you know if you’re an active reader, I only share products I actually use and love so everything here is coming straight from the heart. It comes in many forms and is available almost everywhere. You probably have a tube, or a tub, or a little box of it somewhere in your bathroom or your purse. Perhaps you’ve used it already today (I have).
So let’s have a little fun today, shall we? The weekend is basically here and I know you’d prefer to play a guessing game with me for a couple of minutes instead of slave away at school or your desk. I’m going to fill you in on the 6 creative ways I use this miracle product, and your job is to guess what it could be in the comments. Because it wouldn’t be fair to keep the best kept secret in beauty a secret forever, I’ll reveal what this mystery product is next Wednesday, October 29th, on both TheLoDown and YouTube. Sound good?
[separator type=”thin”]6 Ways I Use My Mystery Product
1. I use this product to tame unruly eyebrows. I sleep on my face and they always look funny when I wake up.
2. I mix this product together with sea salt to create a homemade exfoliator for my whole body.
3. For years I’ve taken my favorite colors of blush and mixed them together with the mystery product to make custom lip colors.
4. Cream bronzers are critical to contouring, and I’m able to come up with just the right hue when I add a little dab of the mystery product together with powdered bronzer.
5. When dry, flaky skin on my lips has got to go I let the mystery product sit on my lips for just a couple minutes, then gently rub it off using a toothbrush for the perfect pout.
6. When cold weather comes to town, I mix in a bit of the mystery product with my everyday lotion to bump up protection against the elements.
Think you’ve discovered my secret? It’s my ultimate beauty mainstay, and probably yours too, even if you don’t realize it yet! Tune in next Wednesday for the big reveal, and leave your guesses in the comments below!

Before even reading the comments I figured it was either Vaseline (which I have used for some of these things myself) or coconut oil (which everyone is raving about lately).
Coconut oil for sure!
