You know that show Hoarders, where people collect so many objects that they sometimes get lost in their own mess? When it comes to magazines, my love knows no bounds. I’m not a hoarder (yet…), but stacks on stacks of issues are scattered across my apartment, and I can’t be convinced to get rid of a single one. A bit neurotic (maybe), but with their perfectly curated editorials, they’re the perfect archives to remember the past trends and styles over the years.

Today, we’re giving one final nod to the fashion industry (for the year, of course) with our top five favorites of 2014. Can you guess what they are? Non? Keep on reading… Some of them might surprise you.

LOVE #12

Okay, so technically this is LOVE’s Fall 2014 issue, but we are so in LOVE (get it?) with their December advent calendar, we couldn’t help but include them in the mix. An advent video everyday leading up to Christmas featuring the coolest #fashun peeps? Miranda Kerr by Solve Sundsbo, Lily Aldridge, Liu Wen & Emily Didonato by Daniel Jackson, Abbey Clancy by Liz Collins, Kendall Jenner by Doug English, and Neville Jacobs by Nicholas Newbold… what’s not to LOVE? Also, who else but Katie Grand can convince supermodel/icon/QUEEN Christy Turlington to don grey hair on the cover? Nobody, because Katie Grand is a magical unicorn that can do no wrong.

Dazed & Confused December 2014

Kendall Jenner photographed by Ben Toms

…And Kendall Jenner continues with her domination of the fashion world. Whether you like it or not, girlfriend is winning the fashion world left and right. Dazed & Confused has named her #1 on their Dazed 100 list and commissioned Instagram artist & iconoclast Doug Abraham (@bessnyc4) to create several covers featuring the different faces of Jenner. It’s a daring move considering the split opinion that has divided the world (yup, the world!) as a result of the Kardashian/Jenner clan. Still, Dazed continues its December domination with its #Dazed100 and editorials featuring Olivier Rousteing, Charli XCX and John Waters.

CR Fashion Book Fall 2014

Beyoncé photographed by Pierre Debusschere

Carine Roitfeld’s fashion magazine, CR Fashion Book, is the ultimate one-stop destination for the biggest names in fashion (think along the lines of Chanel and Lagerfeld). This Fall, Roitfeld is celebrating the iconic clothes and unforgettable characters in the industry with Queen Bey. Poised on the cover wearing a Yohi Yamamoto coat that only she could pull off (It’s Beyonce’s world, we’re just living in it), the magazine is full of perfectly curated editorials that celebrate the “warrior woman, sexy secretary, boudoir mistress, free spirit, glam rocker, leftwing intellectual, & ice queen” all in one. In other words, if you want a little bit of everything thrown in with some amazing photography, CR Fashion Book is your go-to.

British Vogue December 2014

Kate Moss photographed by Mario Testino

Kate Moss has traditionally covered the December issue of British Vogue for the past several years. Photographed by Mario Testino, the supermodel shines in a shoot she styled herself. 2014 marks her first year as an editor of the magazine, and we’re thrilled she’s finally signed on as an official part of the magazine.  We’re also diggin’ this month’s shoots by Walker (but more on him to come…).

W magazine December 2014

Margot Robbie photographed by Bill Viola

W magazine’s killer focus on incredible photography is just as great this month as it is throughout the rest of the year. We look forward to seeing Tim Walker’s spreads in every issue, and this December, it’s no different. Even better? December marks the yearly art & fashion issue bringing together artists, designers, gallerists and filmmakers making a big change in the art and fashion world. Expect to see powerful figures like Anna Ewers, Petra Collins, Margot Robbie, and of course, Tim Walker.

What were your favorite issues? Did you read any of the ones above? Let us know in the comments!
