Just because it’s cold out doesn’t mean your fitness routine should suffer. Better yet, make it more exciting by investing in some dope work-out gear to inspire you to get out the house when it’s 30 degrees F and below.
I’m a big fan of all the amazing fitness fashions coming out lately from Nike, Lorna Jane, Michi, Bodyism, Lucas Hugh and the like. The launch of Net-a-Sporter a few months ago gives a tremendous nod to the explosion of sleek and sexy styles for when you sweat, and as a fitness and fashion enthusiast I’m all about this movement.
In honor of my favorite activewear, today’s Street-Style is fitness focused. Ready, set, GO!
Layering up is critical this time of year, and I love wearing my high-neck Lexi Jacket from Lorna Jane under a thick coat en route to pilates. The back of the jacket has these sick cut-outs that really amp up the style.
You can see that my All Black Everything motto extends to my active-wear also, surprise, surprise.
Just got these new Nike kicks (they’re 5.0 TR Fit in Nordic Print) and they’re exceptionally stylish. I’ve been wearing them with dresses too as I power through the city, not just on my way to the gym.
Let’s head upwards on the body and check out these tights and sports-bra, both by Lorna Jane.
I’m obsessing over my Amy Full-Length Lorna Jane Tights. They’re made of a secure yet stretchy material, and the best part – they aren’t too long! I clock in at 5’5″ and I find that a lot of tights on the market (ahem, LuLu Lemon) make their full-length tights ridiculously long for the average sized woman. These tights are just right and super slimming.
A sexy sports-bra is the creme-de-la-creme of any fitness outfit (at least for me). I get so sweaty and hot when I exercise that I generally stick to tights and sports-bra, saying adios to a shirt that will suffocate me during intense work. I always choose one with great support (I need it), but fun straps that add a bit of style pizazz to the look. Today’s bra is the Pammy from Lorna Jane.
When I need to get super bundled to brave the cold I top off my entire look with this great coat from Sandro. It’s no longer available as I got it a few years ago, but I’ve added some similar and affordable options at the bottom of the post for you to check out. This coat provides both style and warmth on those super chilly days.
This is not a woman you want to mess with, right? Hahhaa. That’s the look I go for everytime I leave the house. My Rocnation Skull Candy headphones not only provide me with great warm-up jams, but they also keep my ears warm when I head outside! Love it!
Finally, this look really comes together in stylish form when you combine the high-necked Lorna Jane cut-out jacket with the Sandro coat and Ray-Ban aviators. Too cool for school. See you at SoulCycle!
