Being stuck in the middle of winter can surely be depressing.  Heck, I’ve gone outside 1.5 times today because it’s just so chilly.  The upside to this miserable weather?  The ability to still maintain my California summer blonde in the middle of it all!

Seriously – having a good hair moment gives me all the feels.  I’m sure you’ve experienced a similar sensation when you checkin’ yoself out in the mirror and you think: “Damn, mami!  I look good.”  Turns out that getting that feeling over and over again as a beach blonde is easy with the help of the Beach Blonde Collection from John Frieda!

The stand-out product for me in this collection is the Cool Dip Purifying Shampoo.  It cleanses to the core, getting rid of all the gunk that stops your blonde from shining like it’s supposed to.  Also – it’s minty fresh (which to me is quite fun).

Even more fun?  What’s happening Thursday night right here in NYC!  Keep your eyes peeled on my Instagram on 2.5.15 for some Beach Blonde realness with appearances by Jilly Hendrix and Lauren Conrad (both my blonde best friends) courtesy of the lovely folks at John Frieda.  We’ll all be hanging out at the Beach Blonde event and showing you just what blondes in the middle of winter are made of!

Til then…Cheerio!

  1. Love the idea of staying blonde and fun all winter! I want to try all of this, but still do love the purple shampoo to stay nice and bright.

Why I Fast on Mondays

Monday: oh, the duality of it. I love Monday and I also hate it with a deep passion. I hate that it will take a full 5 days for the weekend/nachos to arrive. I hate that I have to answer my emails. I hate that my alarm goes off and wakes me from my Sunday slumber. Yet, once I’m conscious I remember that I love waking up early on a summer Monday, hitting the streets before 8am when the city is still sleepy and heading out for a slow sweat at SLT. I love hitting the re-set button and having another chance to do and be. I also love fasting on Mondays, my chosen day of the week to detox until dinnertime (if you’re forced to begin your week, you may as well dive in head first).
