    [infobox subtitle=”Valentine’s Day” bg=”red” color=”white” opacity=”off” space=”30″ link=”no link”]Floral Inspired[/infobox] To my fellow celebrators of Valentine’s Day: doesn’t matter if you’re single, attached, or somewhere in the middle!  Getting pretty for February 14th is totally fun no matter what.  It’s always important to love yourself, yes?

    Today’s Get Ready with Me look is perfect for the holiday: a floral-inspired color palette with new gems from Yves Saint Laurent, NARS, and MAC + soft, touchable, but well-shaped hair with my fave new Bumble + Bumble products.

    This look is totally on-trend for the season as we move into spring ’15 (finally).  Muted pinks, nudes, and a touch of purple here and there all working together seamlessly in a super chic, but perfectly polished way.  I’ve started wearing more make-up this winter, signaling a personal movement back to girly-dom.  Totally reflective of the general movement in make-up and fashion to glam it up sometimes 🙂

    Why I Fast on Mondays

    Monday: oh, the duality of it. I love Monday and I also hate it with a deep passion. I hate that it will take a full 5 days for the weekend/nachos to arrive. I hate that I have to answer my emails. I hate that my alarm goes off and wakes me from my Sunday slumber. Yet, once I’m conscious I remember that I love waking up early on a summer Monday, hitting the streets before 8am when the city is still sleepy and heading out for a slow sweat at SLT. I love hitting the re-set button and having another chance to do and be. I also love fasting on Mondays, my chosen day of the week to detox until dinnertime (if you’re forced to begin your week, you may as well dive in head first).
