No matter how committed you are to getting a daily eight hours of sleep, the reality is that life gets in the way. While I’d like to be in bed every night by 10 p.m., it’s more likely that I’ll be in bed somewhere around midnight and fall asleep an hour (or two or three) later…

I’m a big believer in the old adage “Fake it ’til you make it,” especially when it comes to faking a good night’s sleep. If I can’t sleep for at least eight hours, I can certainly pretend I did, amirite? Cue the beauty products that will help you look your best those mornings after those rough nights.

Eye Masks

In as little as fifteen minutes, eye masks hydrate your eye area while reducing any puffiness induced by lack of sleep. Talk about magic.

White Eyeliner

Hard to believe that white eyeliner is actually a thing, but we certainly are not complaining. Dab this gift from the gods on the inside corners of your eyes, and you’ll instantly look more awake. #AllMyPraise

Skipping on sleep has some horrible effects and your skin is no exemption. Skin can very easily look dull when you don’t get a good night’s sleep, but with a primer in hand, this won’t be a problem. Opt for primers with brighteners to give your skin that extra glow.

Eyelash Curler

The only duo that matters? An eyelash curler and mascara. It’s amazing what these two babies can do together. Looking awake is all in the eyes and with this duo, you’ll no longer have to answer that dreaded question “Wow, did you sleep last night?” (If I had a penny for every time I’ve been asked this question…)

Tips & Tricks

I swear by my beauty products, but sometimes, the solution comes in the simplest form. Every morning,

  • Wash your face with cold water to reduce the appearance of swelling.
  • Use eye creams with caffeine to constrict blood vessels and de-puff your eyes.
  • Drink water throughout the day if your skin is looking dull. Hydration is key.
