Spring is upon us, y’all.  Time to bring the sexy back!  Actually, it’s time to break out your best lighter outwear pieces to accommodate this lovely (but still a bit brisk) weather we’re having.  In addition to a great trench or coat, I love the transition into spring because I can still wear a tight, long-sleeved bodysuit but without 12 layers on top of it blocking out my curves.

This fluffy monster coat is one of my favorite pieces right now.  I picked it up from the GUESS Holiday shoot I did back in December but the weather turned quickly in such a flash that I didn’t much of an opportunity to wear it.  But watch out New Yorkers, this Almost Famous feeling fluff ball can be seen cruising down a street near you on the reg now!

Also paired with this coat du-jour is the New York black bodysuit by Wolford, by absolute favorite undergarment that also functions as a shaping shirt as well with looser bottoms.

These creamy white pants are Crosby by Derek Lam – a nicely shaped option to fancy up any look this springtime.  I’m such the queen of wearing baggy silk pants, a nice boot, and tight top.  Sort of my uniform to be honest with you.

Why I Fast on Mondays

Monday: oh, the duality of it. I love Monday and I also hate it with a deep passion. I hate that it will take a full 5 days for the weekend/nachos to arrive. I hate that I have to answer my emails. I hate that my alarm goes off and wakes me from my Sunday slumber. Yet, once I’m conscious I remember that I love waking up early on a summer Monday, hitting the streets before 8am when the city is still sleepy and heading out for a slow sweat at SLT. I love hitting the re-set button and having another chance to do and be. I also love fasting on Mondays, my chosen day of the week to detox until dinnertime (if you’re forced to begin your week, you may as well dive in head first).
