What’s In My Suitcase!

[infobox subtitle=”In Style” bg=”gray” color=”black” opacity=”on” space=”30″ link=”no link”]From London to Capri[/infobox] Hello, darlings.  Writing to you today from my European adventure across the UK and Italy!  It’s a beautiful day in Capri right now and my trip is winding down.  Even though I’ve been gone from NY my affinity for style has not, and when I packed from my 13 day trip I kept European flair in mind.

My favorite item I’ve brought along with me?  My Ted Baker scarf – a floral print with dark black background perfect for everything from wandering through St. James’ park in London to catching my chilly flight to Rome. Best part?  It’s on sale right now along with a huge number of other Ted Baker selects from the London-based retailer.

Floral on one side side and solid on the other, it’s been my favorite accessory to wrap around my neck like the women here do.

Next in my bag? Well, a bag of course!  The Isla Bag goes with absolutely everything and has been my constant companion wandering the cobblestone streets on the Amalfi Coast (and is appropriately named).  I typically buy bags in two colors: this nude you see here or black, and I’ve been in need of this new neutral addition to my summertime wardrobe.  My favorite part?  The sparkly gold chain!

Completing my look during day trips to The National Gallery to view over 2300 portraits by the Great Masters? This adorable pink biker jacket that’s cropped at the waist giving it enough edge an style to wear with a more basic silk blouse and pants.

All in all, my early summer trip to Europe has been spectacularly beautiful, delicious, and stylish. It feels good to wear a European brand here because I know I’m definitely in style.  Ciao Bella!

Why I Fast on Mondays

Monday: oh, the duality of it. I love Monday and I also hate it with a deep passion. I hate that it will take a full 5 days for the weekend/nachos to arrive. I hate that I have to answer my emails. I hate that my alarm goes off and wakes me from my Sunday slumber. Yet, once I’m conscious I remember that I love waking up early on a summer Monday, hitting the streets before 8am when the city is still sleepy and heading out for a slow sweat at SLT. I love hitting the re-set button and having another chance to do and be. I also love fasting on Mondays, my chosen day of the week to detox until dinnertime (if you’re forced to begin your week, you may as well dive in head first).
