Winter Terrariums (A DIY)

[title subtitle=”Wintery Décor”]Let It Snow[/title]

Even though Christmas is over, there is still much anticipation for snow in the city. Mother nature aside, I decided to take matters into my own hands and create these wintry snow-filled terrariums that great for both décor around the house and gifts for loved ones.

For this DIY, you’ll be needing:

  1. A glass container
  2. Faux snowflakes (pillow stuffing and cotton work too!)
  3. White or silver glitter
  4. Small ornaments of your choosing

I purchased all of my materials from Michaels. I found all of the small ornaments in the Miniatures section. They literally have a mini version of everything! I also picked out some small trinkets that reminded me of the wintertime.

Start by pouring some faux snowflakes into a glass container and adding some glitter specks afterward to add dimension and sparkle.

Then, arrange the small ornaments to create a personal touch. I chose to arrange a table with chairs next to a lamppost, with the idea of emulating a romantic wintry vibe!

There you have it! I hope you enjoyed making this DIY snow-filled terrarium.

Why I Fast on Mondays

Monday: oh, the duality of it. I love Monday and I also hate it with a deep passion. I hate that it will take a full 5 days for the weekend/nachos to arrive. I hate that I have to answer my emails. I hate that my alarm goes off and wakes me from my Sunday slumber. Yet, once I’m conscious I remember that I love waking up early on a summer Monday, hitting the streets before 8am when the city is still sleepy and heading out for a slow sweat at SLT. I love hitting the re-set button and having another chance to do and be. I also love fasting on Mondays, my chosen day of the week to detox until dinnertime (if you’re forced to begin your week, you may as well dive in head first).
