The Only No Make-Up Make-Up Tutorial You Need

Getting the no make-up look can be tricky, right? Your own skin type comes into play of course, not always acting agreeably with whatever product you apply to your gorgina face, turning too dry or too slick or too whatever to appear make-up free. I recently went on the hunt for some new products that REALLY help to achieve this “no make-up” look – ya know, one that’s totally glowing, with even coverage, and without that caked-on appearance.

I dove into some Charlotte Tilbury based on recommendations for foundation andpowder – two new products I knew I needed to change up if I was to truly achieve the make-up free look I desire. Then I discovered Urban Decay’s Naked Skin concealer(I know – Urban Decay!!). Can I just say that this is LIFE-CHANGING CONCEALER? It blends so seamlessly into skin, never turning too dry or bunching up into creases. It just melts on top of your blemishes. HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend.

For bronzer, blush, and illuminators I’m turning to Smith + Cult, the nail polish line that has pleasantly surprised me lately with their venture into make-up. Nice colors, natural looks, and def high quality. I also have this fun Face Gloss by Make that’s not an everyday product but certainly helpful when you really want that slicked skin look.

My tutorial for putting these products all together for truly PERFECT SKIN is below. Cheers to the no make-up make-up trend! Product links below the vid!

Easy Work Hair-Do: Gorgeous Waves Without Hot Tools!

Spring has officially sprung, friends and that means it’s time to take a good look at my hair and make the necessary changes to express a new style and of course, to keep my color bright and lovely. BTW – did I mention I’ll be at Ulta Beauty in Brentwood, California (in Northern California) on June 29th to hang out with y’all and chat all things hair with my partner Frédéric Fekkai? My look will be on point that day, inspired by the season! 🙂 I’ve been feeling serious un-done vibes when it comes to my hair lately, and with Earth Day just behind us and the flowers in my yard coming in to full-bloom I’m feeling very much like a woman looking to embrace natural beauty inspired by the season.

Why I Fast on Mondays

Monday: oh, the duality of it. I love Monday and I also hate it with a deep passion. I hate that it will take a full 5 days for the weekend/nachos to arrive. I hate that I have to answer my emails. I hate that my alarm goes off and wakes me from my Sunday slumber. Yet, once I’m conscious I remember that I love waking up early on a summer Monday, hitting the streets before 8am when the city is still sleepy and heading out for a slow sweat at SLT. I love hitting the re-set button and having another chance to do and be. I also love fasting on Mondays, my chosen day of the week to detox until dinnertime (if you’re forced to begin your week, you may as well dive in head first).
