Puppies: The Fix For Your Anxiety

Yes, this post features a lot of puppy GIFS. But I bet that even a quick scroll through will have you chuckling, your cynical heart warming just a little, and a feeling of general contentment flowing through your blood stream. Want to know why? Dogs help relieve anxiety and stress. Don’t trust me, trust the way you feel after cuddling with a pet that loves you unconditionally.

If you’ve always wanted a dog but aren’t sure where to start, considering adoption – it’s a win/win situation for both you and your forever friend. I’ve been a Host Committee Member of the ASPCA for years now, helping to throw our charitable events annually and I can say without question that bringing home a pet in need can be a great way to do good while feeling good as well.

If you’re bringing a puppy home for the first time, I love the concept of throwing a Puppy Shower to help collect the items you need to make your home puppy ready! I went to a Puppy Shower yesterday here in NYC with I and love and you (one of my absolute favorite dog food companies) and chewy to check out their Puppy Starter Food Kits for new pet parents and loved all the items they’ve curated together. They gave me a discount code (thelodown15) to share with y’all for 15% off any purchase of treats or the Puppy Food Starter Kits! The kits cost only $19.99 but have a value of $100 of tasty treats and essentials: $25 worth of I and love and you food products, a puppy handbook, a cute collar, 2 months of DogTV, and huge discounts on an Outward Hound Slo-Feed bowl, AND a Molly Mutt duvet bed. The I and love and you brand makes sure real meat is in all their products, and everything is free of fillers, grains, corn, soy, by-product meals, and anything artificial.

Now let’s get to the GIF cuties I’ve curated for your viewing pleasure. Prepare for your blood pressure to drop!

Puppies are a great distraction for a busy mind, and also provide the LOLs. If you schedule regular training into your day you always have a moment of fun to rely on with your furry pup!

Adopt a dog and never wonder if you’re loved or not. Watch how they follow you around the house. It’s unconditional!

Snuggle buddies 24/7. One of my favorite ways to feel better.

Taking care of others is a great way to take your mind off yourself.

Taking your dog out on the town – great way to meet new people, especially hot dudes.

  1. An obligation of appreciation is all together for the not too bad blog. It was to a great degree accommodating for me. Keep sharing such considerations later on as well. This was truly what I was hunting down, and I am glad to come here! An obligation of appreciation is all together to impart the information to us. Your blog held my advantage ideal to the very end, which isn’t generally a simple activity!! An obligation of appreciation is all together for the conventional blog.

Why I Fast on Mondays

Monday: oh, the duality of it. I love Monday and I also hate it with a deep passion. I hate that it will take a full 5 days for the weekend/nachos to arrive. I hate that I have to answer my emails. I hate that my alarm goes off and wakes me from my Sunday slumber. Yet, once I’m conscious I remember that I love waking up early on a summer Monday, hitting the streets before 8am when the city is still sleepy and heading out for a slow sweat at SLT. I love hitting the re-set button and having another chance to do and be. I also love fasting on Mondays, my chosen day of the week to detox until dinnertime (if you’re forced to begin your week, you may as well dive in head first).
