Always On The Move? Stay Prepared With These Healthy Grab ‘n Go Snacks!

Whether you’re a soccer mom who always needs to be stocked and ready with snacks for the kids or you just lead a hectic lifestyle in general, finding snacks that are both healthy and hassle free can sometimes be a challenge.

With constantly being on the go it’s easy to make bad choices when trying to satisfy your hunger. All of the less than healthy food choices seem to be wrapped and ready for you to grab at a moments notice but if you’re really trying to keep up with a healthy diet there are plenty of options out there that are delicious, nutritious and only require a little bit of space in your bag!

I’ve compiled a list of some of my fav. grab ’n go snacks I like to carry around with me to avoid the “hangry” Lo from coming out! All of the below can easily be substituted if you have any allergies or special preferences. Taste test until you find what’s the yummiest and easiest for you and enjoy these munchies in between meetings or binging the latest hyped up Netflix series!

Kale Chips

Rich in vitamin K and full of fibre, these are the perfect alternative to your typical bag of chips and they’re super easy to make! Just preheat your oven to 275 degrees, toss your kale chips with olive oil and seasoning of choice and in about 20 minutes you have yourself a healthy, crispy snack that’s easy to pack!

Bananas

Need a little sugar rush to keep you going? Don’t reach for that candy bar, grab yourself a banana (literally the easiest thing to take with you anywhere) and load up on potassium!

Fruit With Peanut Butter

If you’re not a fan of bananas that’s cool, apple slices are amazing especially when paired up with a nut butter! I personally love a good peanut butter & apple combo but almond butter is just as good! This is an ideal protein and fibre packed snack that is guaranteed to satisfy your rumbling belly!

Sliced Bell Peppers

With barely any prep time required, bell peppers are mess free and an easy way for you to get in your daily dose of veggies! Just slice some up, put them in a baggy and treat your body to Vitamins A, B6, E, C and K1!

Veggies With Hummus

Who doesn’t love hummus?! There are SO many flavors of hummus now that you can satisfy both your sweet or savory craving! You might not think of it as an easy “on the go” option but they sell these mini tupperware containers that are made just for packing your favorite dressing so there are officially no excuses! Carrot sticks pair up nicely with hummus and they’re incredibly good for digestion, eye health and the vitamin C it contains aids the collagen production in your body!

Trail Mix

A classic snack, trail mix is actually pretty accessible BUT not all mixes are healthy (yes, I am referring to any kind of trail mix that contains M&M’s!lol) I suggest getting creative and making your own mix! You can buy a variety of nuts such as raw almonds, cashews, brazil nuts, walnuts and even some dark chocolate covered raisins to satisfy your sweet tooth! The best part about creating your own trail mix is that you can make different combos so you don’t get tired of the same thing! Go on and get your healthy fat nut mix on girl!
