Although I loveee spending time in the kitchen, I also get impatient when it comes to cooking due to the simple fact that I just want to get to the good part and enjoy my meal! The same goes for when I’m making a dessert. It’s torture waiting for brownies to bake when the aroma from the oven is making my mouth water! Sometimes I just have to opt out of a long bake time and whip up something fast to satisfy my taste buds!

My go-to quick and easy dessert recipe for Avocado Chocolate Mousse, can literally be made in 2 minutes! Now don’t bother re-reading that sentence because you did read it correctly, I did include both avocado and chocolate in the same sentence! Some of you might be thinking “Ok, Lo has officially lost it!” but I promise you this recipe will satisfy your sweet tooth!

If you’re worried the avocado flavor will over power the chocolate…don’t, you really only taste the slightest hint of it and plus this spin on a classic chocolate mousse is so much better for you. This decadent, vegan dessert is loaded with healthy fats, fiber and vitamins thanks to the avocado, while the dark chocolate is high in antioxidants!

Before you knock this low carb Avocado Chocolate Mousse, please take a few minutes out of your time to try this easy to make, hassle free, delicious recipe!

Yields1 Serving

 2 Ripe Hass avocados
 ¼ cup Agave nectar (or maple syrup,whatever your preference)
  cup Raw cacao powder
 2 tbsp Unsweetened almond milk (or plant milk of choice)
 ½ tsp Vanilla extract
 ½ tsp Chia powder
  tsp Kosher salt

Cut the avocados in half and scoop the flesh into blender.

Add almond milk, cacao powder, chia powder, agave nectar and vanilla extract.

Mix for about a minute or until creamy.

Taste test in case you'd like to add extra agave nectar.

Spoon the avocado chocolate mousse into desired glasses.

Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Serve as is or if you want to get fancy, top with chocolate shavings, fresh strawberries, cacao nibs or whipped coconut cream!YUM!
